Full & comprehensive EICR in Cambridge carried out by JDH Electrics.
Some of the elements inspected & tested include:
- Supply polarity and incomming earth
- Consumer unit
- Earth bonding to gas & water
- Each individual circuit, to include presence of CPC / earthing conductors and to confirm correct polarity
- Continuity of ring final conductors
- Distribution circuit to shed & shed consumer unit
- RCD opperation
At the time of the test some observations were found which will need further action, such as a replacement consumer unit due to lack of RCD protection. Also a replacement outside light – signs of water ingress with a broken case, the bathroom light will also need replacing due to not being IP rated. The main earthing conductor will need replacing as it had been trimmed to fit the small main earthing terminal, and the main equipotential bonding upgraded to the gas and water pipes for safety.
